     @WhiteApe @Frank @Sandstar @ACL9000 Sam Neill as Weir was particularly inspired. There's something about dudes that typically get 'niceguy' or 'heroic' roles that, when they get to play a villain, they really pull out all the stops to do it well.
     
     Jon Jarratt from 'Wolf Creek' is probably one of the best examples of this. He worked on his "evil laugh" for six months, to the point that it frankly unnerved his co-actors

     @TrevorGoodchild @Frank @Sandstar @ACL9000 The movie is very well cast. Stark could have been played by whomever but the rest are solid. I honestly forgot Stark was a character halfway through, until Miller found her passed out.

     @TrevorGoodchild @WhiteApe @Frank @Sandstar @ACL9000 Another good example of this is Bruce Willis in the Jackal, which gets bonus points for having a scene where Jack Black gets his arm shot off.
     
     The only things preventing this movie from being a classic were Richard Gere’s awful Irish accent and the ending
