   I know there are some good transgender and homosexual people out there, but the mob and the media are really damn loud and have twisted the #LGBTQ "community" way too far for it to be recovered. I suggest leaving the community entirely and stop using the label if you don't agree with even the tiniest part of it. So many inexcusable things happen all the time that it isn't worth tying yourself to that kind of toxicity.

   Would you continue sticking with a religion if you didn't believe some of the things they preached? It's a very similar thing. Individualize yourself.

   I have done this plenty of times. There is no law saying that you are stuck in a community when you become a part of one. You can still believe in whatever you want, or enjoy whatever you want, without being beholden to nasty people who want you to behave just like them or get the axe. This goes for ANY so-called "community" and ANY group of people. Sure, it might suck for some time if you have built yourself up on the backbone of such a community, but you need to have the courage to retain your integrity otherwise your soul is going to be ripped from you.

     @FabolousIrving it's easy to think that because a lot of them are just a part of the degenerative blender. I'd say that for plenty of people in general, not just LGBT people. Maybe even the majority of the people on the planet. It is a natural survival instinct to be a part of a community and a part of a "tribe" but when that "tribe" becomes damaging, it's time to leave.

     It's still possible to be a decent person even if you've got some things fucked up with you. A lot of humans do. Just standing by and calling yourself a part of some community while they do dastardly things, or shit you don't agree with, though, isn't very decent. It shows weakness and I hope people find the strength in themselves to gtfo of those places.

     @Hyolobrika @xianc78 there is a difference between someone just being gay, trans, a doctor, whatever, and actually being a part of the LGBT or medical community (which also has some dastardly stuff going on all the time).

     a trans person could still 100% say "fuck the lgbt community, it's full of child molesters, hypocrites, and abusers" and still be trans if they wanted to. fuck, nobody even really has to chuck their pronouns in their bio or plaster a trans flag everywhere. that's becoming an immediate *red* flag to people.

     @beardalaxy @xianc78 I see your point. But labels aren't always about communities. Sometimes they are descriptors of facts about oneself. That's how I see most words: "homosexual" means "one who is sexually attracted to those of the same gender as themself", "transgender" means "one who identifies as the opposite gender as themself", " LGBT" means "lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender", no more and no less.
     What you said is like saying that the only doctor in a remote village with no internet, telephone, or communications of any kind is not a doctor, simply because he is not part of any medical community.

     @matana i know and it's retarded, but i know there are a lot of people who have made the decision to leave a religion and then just subscribed to a different "religion" and done the same thing, playing along with it. i see it all the time. so here i am trying to appeal to that initial decision: why did they leave their religion? if it is because they didn't agree with it, then why stick with a community that follows ideals they also do not agree with?

     @beardalaxy @xianc78 Well, I'm sure everyone's experience of the LGBT community is different depending on whom they interact with. Not everyone in it is a pedophile, hypocrite, or abuser. So, you can't necessarily blame someone for choosing to stay associated with them.

     @enduser @Hyolobrika @xianc78 yeah that's because people on fedi are, for the most part, actually cool (minus english pawoo users) and are here because they don't want to put up with twitter's bullshit, more often than not. but twitter still represents the vast majority of people using social media and even if there are people that you've seen on fedi that are chill, it doesn't change the fact that there are horrible things happening in the LGBTQ community outside of fedi in places like twitter, reddit, discord, meta, and in schools/mainstream media, which is where all the normies and all of the people holding more power reside so it is arguably more important to the fabric of society, and things desperately need to change there.

     this post is about NEGATIVE communities of people. the LGBTQ community is full of absolute shit. it's one thing if there's a dude in the "gun owner community" that gets found out to have groomed children or something, but it's another thing if there is an entire community of people that champion that sort of shit and it's becoming completely normalized in schools and in media because of them. are we just going to forget about shit like "desmond is amazing?" why the fuck would you ever want to be part of a community that CELEBRATES CHILD DRAG? 152K followers on instagram btw. FUCK the LGBTQ community for that shit, they're totally diseased and if I were gay/bi/whatever I'd want *nothing* to do with it because i don't wanna' be guilty by association with those freaks. this isn't some "oh but every large community has some bad people in it" it's an ACTUAL PROBLEM.

     besides, i do hate organized religion, and i hate the republican and democratic conventions. i WISH the people would stop putting up with their negative bullshit just because it fulfills some of their own positive desires.
