Starting last weekend, a DoS attack targeted the server hosting the Onionket main homepage. There's no reason to think this was directly targeting us, but unfortunately the hosting provider's idea of mitigation was to enable ReCaptcha on all web visitors. This kind of sucks, because ReCaptcha doesn't play nice with VPNs and it basically makes Google the chokepoint deciding who can visit the site or not.

Thankfully, there are other options. Anybody using a VPN or otherwise unhappy with ReCaptcha is encouraged to visit our noJS or Tor .onion version of the site, which contains all of the same information:
