     @Moto_Chagatai there is something a friend of mine brought up, and I had no idea because I don't give a fuck about Assassin's Creed, but is actually pretty interesting:
     None of the main characters in any of the AC games are historical figures or people who have existed. They always created a fictional character to be the assassin so they could do whatever.
     Only when they had the urge to put a nigger samurai in medieval Japan was that they felt the need to base the MC in a "real historical figure who was totally a samurai guys".
