     @lina I was looking up Ainu tattooing just before I made the post, Scythian and Thracian tattoos should also be included

     @Komnene it's why i like irezumi, a lot of it draws from japanese mythology, history and culture, i'm also kinda partial towards some of the simpler russian prison tattoos as they, at least according to stereotypes, draw from Orthodox Christianity and feature churches and similar symbolica, hell there's even a song about a tattoo of church domes
