djsumdog (djsumdog@djsumdog.com)'s status on Saturday, 20-Jul-2024 08:59:13 JST djsumdog CrowdStrike has always been a shit company. Their Linux sensor only works with very specific distributions and kernels. Even nvidia knows how to use DKMS to distribute their binary blobs for everyone.
Their Falcon-sensor is a security disaster waiting to happen. It gives full access to everything on disc on every server. Their installation package runs as root, accesses their custom kernel module, and auto-updates itself. I'm honestly surprised this whole thing isn't worse. -
