@rlier23 @DrRyanSkelton @hakui Depending on how fast your drives can write and the connection, like if your using USB 2.0 it's going to be pretty slow. you may be better off copying to your laptop first before putting the files on the new drive. There's also the chance for the cables to lose connection if you move it slightly.

@DrRyanSkelton @hakui a few more questions u just got the new drive, initialized it and all that stuff.
consider that im doint this from a laptop so all my data is in an external drive and the new drive is also working as external through do i just connect the two of them to the laptop and start sending from on to the other?
or do i put as much as i can in the lapto first and then copy that into the new drive?

don't move it then
