Enemies have different approaches depending on the unit type. A flying mob isn't going to just land and run straight at you and never fly again. Ranged enemies will keep distance and shoot from afar. Melee enemies will obviously come at you. The bosses also have vastly different attacks. There is visual and audio telegraphs for attacks.
