     @bless @ROYALTY Sadly it's caffeine and not meth, but I think the legend came from the conflation of this and Pervitin in itself, since they were both issued in Wehrmacht rations at various points in time

     i see the amount of amphetamines prescribed more related to like, trying to deal with what the world continues to become. also within america at least

     @bless @ROYALTY Yeah meth is way more of a go-getter drug than opioids. As for the prominence in America, it's cheap, "easy" to produce, and widely available, which gives it the stereotype of the poor drug alongside crack cocaine, while powder cocaine is the preserve of the well-off and connected.

     @bless @netdoll idk I don't really do any drugs except for the common types. Nor do I live in a bad area either, I just started thinking of it while seeing the occasional overly energetic/tweaked out white trash that end up here.
     
     
     America also has a performance working culture so you can't really tell who is on stimulants and who is just motivated :animenod:
