The Rust Foundation says they got "$4.58 million USD from our Members & other orgs interested in the development of #Rust." in 2022. The #FreeBSD Foundation got about $1.1M. I feel like Apple, Sony, and Nintendo amongst others could surely spare a million bucks each year for the benefits they reap from FreeBSD.
