HORRIBLE BOOLPAP IDEA
MIGRATING CHAMBER NOT-BULLPUP
THE CHAMBER AND BARREL THROAT ARE CHOPPED OFF FROM THE REST OF THE BARREL,
AND DURING THE CYCLING OF THE ACTION,
THAT ENTIRE HUNK OF SHIT
DROPS DOWN BELOW THE BARREL,
RIDES FORWARD, TO AHEAD OF THE MAGAZINE
(WHICH IS LOCATED CONVENTIONALLY, IN FRONT OF THE GRIP)
HAS A ROUND STRIPPED OUT OF THE MAG AND FED INTO IT
THEN ROLLS BACK AND SHIFTS UP INLINE WITH THE REST OF THE BARREL
>WHAT ABOUT THE "CYLINDER GAP"
FUCK IT
>HOW DO YOU EVEN POWER THAT ACTION
IDK
ALTERNATIVELY !!!!!
A LITTLE FEEDING SHELF
A MECHANISM HOOKED UP TO THE CARRIER WHICH STRIPS A ROUND FROM THE MAG AND HOLDS IT IN A LITTLE CARRIAGE
WHICH PRESUMABLY A TINY GNOME PUSHES BACK TO THE ASS OF THE RIFLE WHEREUPON THE RETURNING BOLT PICKS IT UP AND FEEDS IT INTO THE CHAMBER
-
@Eiregoat AND THIS ONLY HAPPENED LIKE A GENERATION OR TWO AGO
EURO BOOMERS COULD OWN GUNS BACK IN THE SIXTIES
THEN THE LAWS AND CONFISCATIONS AND MEDIA PROPAGANDA HIT
-
@Eiregoat PATH TO STARTING A FIREARMS COMPANY IN AMERICA
"YOU KNOW MY FIRST GUN WAS A 10/22 AS A KID, AND NOW IM USING IT AS A GARDEN GUN FOR WHEN THERE'S A RACCOON IN THE GARDEN OR SOMETHING. . . I HAVE THIS IDEA FOR LIKE A FOLDING STOCK FOR A 10/22 WITH A LITTLE COMPARTMENT IN IT TO STORE M&MS
AND I KNOW YOU HAVE A LATHE IN THE GARAGE, DO YOU THINK WE CAN DO SOME PROTOTYPING AND MAYBE WE COULD SELL THIS THING THROUGH I DON'T KNOW BROWNELLES OR SOMETHING"
PATH TO STARTING A FIREARMS COMPANY IN EUROPE
"I AM ALREADY AN AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEER WITH EXPERIENCE IN MANUFACTURING AND I WENT HUNTING RECENTLY AND BOY IT KINDA BROUGHT THE MEMORIES OF MY ARMY DAYS BACK. MAYBE I SHOULD PUT IN AN APPLICATION AT BERETTA OR SOMETHING, SEE IF THEY'RE HIRING. I HAVE THESE IDEAS FOR A HUNTING PISTOL BUT ITS A PIE IN THE SKY, MAYBE THEY'LL TAKE A LOOK AT IT IF IM IN THEIR COMPANY AND I SUGGEST IT TO THEIR DESIGN DEPARTMENT"
-
@Eiregoat SOMEONE LIKE JOERG SPRAVE COULD HOP INTO AN AIRSOFT COMPANY AND START MAKING AR TRIGGER GROUPS AND THEN BECOME A FIREARMS MANUFACTURER OFF OF THAT
AN AVERAGE GUY WITH AN IDEA -- CAN'T
-
@Eiregoat A EURO WHO WANTS TO DESIGN GUNS HAS TO BE AN ENGINEER ALREADY AND THEN GO INTO ONE OF LIKE SIX LARGE GOVERNMENT CONTRACT MANUFACTURERS LIKE HK OR BERETTA OR WHATEVER
THAT'S A HUGE BARRIER TO ENTRY
NOT TO MENTION
THE PEOPLE WHO WOULD HAVE GONE IN THAT DIRECTION, NEVER EVEN THINKING ABOUT IT BECAUSE THEY HAD ZERO FIREARMS EXPERIENCE
-
Yeah, it's pretty grim.
Pretty much everything that might inspire an engineering career through hands on experience is being locked down. Everything except video games.
-
I guess europoors should stay out of gun threads.
-
@Eiregoat NO WE'VE ACTUALLY REALLY MISSING OUT ON LIKE THREE GENERATIONS OF EURO ENTHUSIAST GUN DESIGNERS LIKE WILHELM BUBITS
WE'VE BEEN ROBBED OF EUROPEAN MINDS GOING INTO THE FIELD BY THE DOGSHIT ZOG OCCUPATION DISARMAMENT PROPAGANDA AND LAWS
-
I mean if a bolt can seal a chamber why can't a chamber seal a barrel?
In terms of weird gun design I think the most promising idea no one's looking at is dardick's one.
The magazine fed revolver solves the problem of a gun jamming by trying to do too many things at once. Feeding a round, chambering a round and ejecting a round are all handled by separate chambers.
-
@Eiregoat BECAUSE A BOLT CANT SEAL THE CHAMBER
A BRASS CASE CAN SEAL A CHAMBER BECAUSE THE BRASS WILL EXPAND AND FORM A SEAL UNDER PRESSURE, AND THE BOLT WILL HOPEFULLY SUPPORT THE SOFT DUCTILE BRASS SUCH THAT THE UNSUPPORTED AREA IS TINY AND BRASS CAN HOLD INSTEAD OF RUPTURING UNDER PRESSURE
AMD THERE ARE NO ISSUES WITH METAL FATIGUE BECAUSE THE BRASS SEAL IS SINGLE USE AND GETS TOSSED OUT OF THE GUN

In Ireland it happened in the 30s, but yeah.
