   My next procrastination project (something to busy myself from focusing on the things that actually need doing [like studying]) is going to be a Matrix-Dendrite server for outrnat.nl.

     @yakumo_izuru@misskey.m544.net That would be a cool subdomain. But with Matrix I believe you set it up (in default) with matrix.outrnat.nl as the home server but configured so that users have the handle @outrnat.nl. Similar to email, e.g.: smtp.name.tld but user@name.tld.

     @adiz @yakumo_izuru It's not really a default, but it is pretty straightforward; you just put a .well-known on public-facing domain pointing to the other, and then put the public name in config.

     @Zergling_man@sacred.harpy.faith Would be an early adopter. They're at basically 100% parity with Synapse for all functionality. Written in Go vs. Python. Everything I read sounds like it's much better than Synapse in every way---very fast. @yakumo_izuru@misskey.m544.net

     @adiz @yakumo_izuru Fair point, I have not actually heard of anybody ever running dendrite so maybe it's the one server that doesn't eat memory like chrome.

     @Zergling_man@sacred.harpy.faith I should stress this would be Dendrite, not Synapse. And RAM is of no issue. @yakumo_izuru@misskey.m544.net
