   Weird request but I lost my anime folder and can’t remember what shows were worth keeping. If it’s handy could you maybe take a snap of your list of ‘essentials’? we tend to like stuff that’s cute and romantic, though I like having ecchi eye candy in the lineup too. I just can’t spontaneously think of what’s worth keeping.

     @rightwingsjw I think the HDD it was primarily on is dead. I have a partial backup but I’ve been building a new computer so things were in flux. I have like 1.5 tb maybe? I remember having a lot of stuff mostly worth watching but IDK how to find out what I lost if I can’t even recall it.

     I suspect the gf screwed it up somehow but who knows. She thought it was magic when she learned about torrenting all her stuff and not watching it on russian spam sites.

     @WashedOutGundamPilot In my case after destroying my unorganized folder some times I decided to only download for shows that I care about, everything else gets put on "R rated" folder (R meaning Random).
     
     Basically
     Iona folder, on its own place
     Girls I care enough for and gets their own folder
     Shows I care enough for folder
     Whatever I probably gonna nuke this

     Yama no Susume is a Cute Girls Doing Climbing Things anime with good messaging about never giving up and all that. Has an extra episode about buying bras for some reason. Starts with short episodes, but they get longer in later seasons.
     
     Hitoribocchi no Marumaruseikatsu is one I'm probably alone in calling an essential, but it's stupid cute even if a more recent Bocchi now overshadows Bocchi-chan in the public consciousness :<
     
     Yuru Camp needs no introduction, but it really is fantastic so I figured I should mention it
     
     Uhhhh Kiniro Mosaic has some quality Engrish in episode 1, as well as Ayaya.
     
     I can hunt down animu gorl image's for these if you want but I don't keep a local storage of any grils other than watamelon.

     @WashedOutGundamPilot Sorry for your loss, mate. I don’t watch much anime, but a bunch of my favorite manga got adaptations. Take these recs from a source material perspective, rather than endorsing the anime itself.

     The anime’s not out yet, but I love the source material of “The Dangers of My Heart” (Boku No Kokoro No Yabai Yatsu). Incredibly cute story, and one of the most natural and believable romance developments I’ve ever read. The artist likes drawing the main girl in some alluring ways, but I’m not sure how much of that will make it into the anime.

     The MC is a bit of a cringe edgelord (but not in an IRL cringe sort of way) in the first few chapters, but trust me, it’s super important to see him go from what he is at the start to where he ends up. It’s hard to explain without spoiling, but I’ve had a few people I’ve recommended it to get filtered by the start, so I like warning people.

     Another one that’s coming out (sorry) is “The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses” (Suki na Ko ga Megane o Wasureta). Less natural romance, but it’s pretty cute and fluffy. MC is more of a traditional male lead, kinda bland, but kind. No ecchi, but the main girl is very cute in that “I want to head pat” sort of way.

     “Tomo is a Girl!” (Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko) is a funny comedy from a 4-koma about a tomboy and her childhood friend who views her as one of the guys, while she desperately wants him to see her as a love interest. Some ecchi jokes, and/but musclegirl, depending on if that’s a plus or not.

     “Kubo Won’t leave me be” (Kubo-san wa Mob wo Yurusanai) is about a guy whose presence in life is so little that he’s functionally invisible (but he does all the nice things around the school) and the girl who is one of the only ones who can see him. It’s more about his growth and the friendships he makes as he grows, but also as he grows closer to the girl. Similarly sweet as “Forgot her glasses”. No ecchi.

     That’s all the romance-focused recs I’ve got. I can dump more of series I liked that got adaptations, but they’re either silly isekai/LN bait or not really related to your listed interests. Hope these helped!

     For cute I recommend urara meirocho, which was great but so overlooked the low ratings actually killed the manga it was based on. Because japs have NO taste

     @WashedOutGundamPilot Honestly B-movie tier, but I love it for that. Soundtrack and jank CGI animation just screams "B-movie", and story-wise stays pretty close to the manga as far as I recall.
     
     Chivalry of a Failed Knight is also excellent for cute, romantic, ecchi, and probably one of my all time favorites.

     @Gundog I just liked how bloody and tortorous his whole thing was. Made the character make a lot more sense, didn’t seem nearly as retarded as the rest of the isekai stuff.

     Not an anime but thunderbolt fantasy isn't talked about enough. If you know what Madoka Magica or Psycho Pass are then the same writer wrote the script for it, and it's pretty good.

     @WashedOutGundamPilot Same, I appreciated having a serious, tough-as-nails MC for once. So many isekai are just randos going "OMG what do I do!?". He doesn't even have that much ambition, he just went through hell and now wants to go home.

     @Gundog Maybe I’m a softie for it because it’s such a common pattern for guys who go from 1st world comfort into absolute suffering like that. You see this kind of make/break in dudes who signed up and suddenly have to start shooting people house to house, a kind of hard-bitten maturity that you only get through those kinds of experiences.

     Maybe the show captures a bit of that. THe comic was cool when he gets his arm ripped off, that tenacious “fuck you I’ll live and leave you all here to rot” attitude is very cool
