@greentext Because as humans we can't be satisfied with what we have, no matter how much we have. Nobody dedicates all their time and energy towards a realistic goal of steady progress within the constraints of reality, it has to be some pie-in-the-sky fantasy that promises to satisfy broken people who are incapable of being satisfied unless they fix themselves. Much easier to jump on the bullshit train.

Communists are always miserable people who can't come to terms with how much their misery is their own fault, and use their gay, retarded ideology as a cope. They can't be satisfied with the reality that there are many different peoples, and that the best way for them to coexist is to live in separate nations with different cultures and norms alongside other people like them, they have to make everyone everywhere the same to fit within their ideal society.

@ArdainianRight @greentext Once your society is no longer headed by those who have a physical continuity baked into the nation itself with innately human constraints and limits pressed upon it, (hereditary monarchies), fanciful thinking becomes much more easy to entertain and utopianism rears its ugly head.

I mean those monarchies were fading for a while. The rapid growth caused by industrialization cut us off from nature, in some ways for the better, but in other ways for the worse, and we haven't yet figured out a way to harmonize modernity with the reality of an ancient and eternal nature.
