>Not buying overpriced avocado toast won't buy me a house, so it's utterly useless.
Yes, things are fucked up - mostly due to government induced inflation, but consooming less is valuable anyway.

@quercus avocado toast is a decade out of date meme. Zoomoids have legitimate grievances with significantly less expensive vices than milleniels, by and large. So I'm not sure I agree that consuming less is strictly a good

@quercus @merchantHelios Is ''succeed on their own'' what matters''? Or just the succeed part?
Because according to most metrics, zoomers are the ''least successful.'' gen.
They don't fuck, they don't own property, they barely have jobs, they barely have social circles, they barely fucking have anything they can call their own other than the ''brainrot.'' And they get ridiculed for that also.
Get it through your thick, amnesiac, American skull motherfucker, this is ALL OVER THE WORLD. Not even in ''The West'', the pic is the zeitgeist of young people all over the world asking, ''what's the point?'' There's nothing in this social contract we call society for people, especially young men.
They are treated as a plague and so they stop caring to please people who hate them, they are constantly told by every single thing in their lives, even their own parents, that they need to redeem themselves for things they haven't done. And if you reply to this with some bullshit about bootstraps or ''the weak men will die off and that's good'' you'll be just one more reason why the youth doesn't care to please the older gens.

Since WWII every subsequent generation had more material wealth to start with, but less chances to succeed on their own.
An intelligent boomer could attend college for peanuts and land a high paying job, because there were only few graduates then.
Today every retard goes to college, so tuition is expensive and graduates have to drive ubers or become baristas.
