   for those that appeal to authority, the Director of CISA is telling the software industry to stop using C and C++

   the era of products released to the public with "dozens, hundreds or thousands of defects" must end

     @theruran Ok , but I love unix/linux lol but I rather program in smalltalk, or Elixir, or something else. C is fun to reverse engineer but its a horrible language.

     @nixfreak they developed something without a directive or contract for a machine with tiny resources. it was a hack! very clever hack...

     @theruran ha ha ha ha. Its about time. So keep using C and don't test and stop using debuggers -- Love Hackxxxxs. I still don't know if the actual C/Unix was a joke or not .. Does anyone know the truth? Cause if you look at .....RANTING Sorry .... programming language history , C and C type languages really screwed people and software up.

     @nixfreak @theruran I miss the aborted future where #LispMachines & #Smalltalk systems are the norm.

     It's a much nicer timeline.

     Still, maybe this will finally reverse steam on the proliferation of unsafe languages? The disastrous disregard for #LanguageBasedSecurity and the inevitable #security consequences finally having reached the point where they cannot be ignored.
