     @Remi @ConscientiousPoster oh yeah, although in this case the other was trying to restrain.
     
     However ideally yes for a pit you want to just be able to end it as quickly as possible, a carry pistol would probably be the swiftest way to do it if possible, point in the eye and shoot through the brain. But otherwise just the heaviest object.
     
     But if all you're going to do is meekly tug at your dog's lead, you might as well just feed your dog to it since it won't do shit.

     @Remi @ConscientiousPoster well keys could work but I mean as a quick blunt object it's something. I'm just thinking the heaviest object (ideally a hammer to just fucking kill the pit), although you could also just kick the pits head.
     
     Really though just anything to try and get it to release the jaws. Not just standing pulling on the fucking lead as if the dog was merely in a growling match.

     @ConscientiousPoster @Remi honestly this vid does a lot to dispell the "it's the owner not the breed" the female pit owner actually seems way more concerned about the actions of her nigger dog than the one who's dog was attacked.
     
     I'd be smashing that pit in the face with the retractable lead while trying to pull my dog free.

     @Mutsu_a125 @Remi @ConscientiousPoster Dude, pits were bred to lock on and bleed out whatever they bit when they get hold. No way to get it to unlatch, nobody has the strength and when its instincts are engaged that thing is a single-core CPU focused at 100% on holding and tugging until the target stops moving

     AFAIK the only way to really reliably end the engagement is disabling its brainstem, IIRc that’s where it does some of the processing for that process
