@beardalaxy Most are forced by their parents. Even though they legally can't force their children in the military, there is a loophole if the child is struggling to find a job the parents can make an ultimatum "either you visit the nearest recruiting center or you are out of the house". That would've been me if I didn't go to college.

From what I've heard, Aaron Bushnell only joined the military because of the tech layoffs and that was basically the only option for him, besides working at McDonald's.

At the very least they will accomplish something being there in some regards.
