     @grillchen i think the idea was that if yoou're transgender then you're a marginalized class so you get more deference even if you're white. on the one hand that's defnitely true you get more deference, i have seen people repeat toots from the mastodon side where black ppl saying "just because you're trans doesn't mean you can use our terms, that privilege comes from your whiteness"

     Also consider how many sexualities there are. I've seen "demisexual" (attracted to personality/after getting close) as "LGBT". I've also complained about it a lot, but "queer" basically means nothing and you don't have to stick to anything, same with non-binary really. And remember, you're not allowed to call it out
     
     Mix this with teenagers "I'm so special" culture (and Internet attention whoring) and you get a massive wreck

     idk this whole "white" and non-white terminology is incredible weird and very american for me.
     
     in some contexts people from east europe get more discrimination than me. in some contexts i get more discrimination. in some contexts i get a bonus for being "divers" and a "minority". going around comparing privileges seems like something incredible annoying to do in an actual argument. sure for social/meta studies stuff like that can be interesting.
     
     the same initial argument can be made for being able bodied, not being a religious minority, etc.
     
     so unless your a disabled, jewish, black, trans, poor, woman please dont speak up about issue x since there are poor children in africa....
     
     i dont mind politics to counter act social injustices/issues. for example programs who help men/women to start a profession they are less likely to try out. we need more women in MINT and more men as nurses and kindergarden teachers. but there is a different between counteracting statistical social inequalities and using them as an excuse to go on a power trip

     actual intersectionality balances advantages and disadvantages in every context so it knows that if you're black you're treated worse than if you're white but statistically you're likely to be straight and treat gay and trans black people worse, but if you're a white trans person, you or the black person who will get killed immediately in what neighborhood is dependent on the neighborhood. however i reject it because outside academia it always ends up being used to place others in a hierarchy, always. you are "above" or "below" every other person in privileges.

     I kinda feel cheated at lot by this new ideology, because in the early 00s, the "promise" from media or just general reasonable online discourse was to judge the individual on the individual qualities, who cares what orientation you are, if it's pretty, fuck it, etc
     
     Now shit has done a complete 180, it feels as if said "marginalized communities" are now enacting their "revenge against society" instead and here I am in my corner, I didn't do jack and I have to endure this shit
     
     The current branch of "progressives" are basically in favorable cultural position of power right now and I've been told several times by arguing with them that it was shit for people in the past (no matter how long ago) so it's THEIR turn now and the whole thing is retarded and short sighted. As with everything, they'll be quickly thrown in the side when their powers wanes and they'll get the ire from absolutely everything else. How pointless
