     @Shlomo @Groomschild @Owl @BigDuck the problem with that idea is that a huge percentage of them have left by now, I think, and the ones that are in the West now may well be able to support an insurgency on the IRA model (remember how the Oirish in Boston were the source of money for their cousins in Ulster, and how the bongs were perpetually salty about that fact?)

     an awful lot of this has to do with how well those Ukies are treated once they settle down, and that's where the Russians are going to have the opportunity to either pass the test with flying colors or really fuck it up: if they turn the "hohol"/"Country 404" shit off and pivot to "okay you're basically a retarded little brother that we had to kick the shit out of but you're still part of the family, now sit down and have some food, we left a seat at the table for you and it's your favorite tonight", then they have a good chance of staving off that possibility

     if, on the other hand, they exhibit typical Slav brutality and nigger-tier self-control, they're going to guarantee that outcome (and it will be exploited), made worse by the fact that it will polarize every bit of the Ukie diaspora within Russia and quite possibly lead to a cycle of self-reinforcing paranoiac purges that they are already psychologically primed to fall prey to ("Mother's name was 'Glavchenko', eh? [scribbles note in personnel file] We'll be keeping an eye on YOU")

     Putin's habit of glacial slowness and discipline so far suggests that there's at least a possibility he's trying for the former
