   Is optimistic for sure. People have nothing to live for now, much less anything to fight for. Cap it off with a lifetime of estrogeneous basement dwelling and total legality of depressants, weed, etc and I'm not really forseeing a violent upheaval any time soon.

     As others have pointed out, there is not a great correlation between things getting bad and people "waking up" - the question you should ask yourself is why do you want people to "wake up" - so that they tell you are right? or .. because you want something done?
