   @GerhardD ten years ago it was folk knowledge that "email is insecure, slow, has too much metadata" but now it's 2024 and delta chat and chatmail are not a theory but an audited reality of existing apps and servers that work, secure and fast and with minimal metadata and no personal data. "Gmail" is not a fitting conceptual frame for what we are doing even though our efforts are interoperable with it and people can use guaranteed end to end encryption through Gmail.

     @delta Sorry, but DeltaChat uses a base-technology, which CANNOT be secure, and is the origin of most unwanted content for the most internet users. You don't need more servers, you need a technology change.

     The #EUGoingDark 42-point plan for after the election has it all: breaking e2e encryption, "lawful" data retention, prohibiting encrypting metadata, threatening jail to developers for non compliance .....      P.s. we need more #chatmail servers and contributors so that our #deltachat app-dev conglomerate provides resilience against such authoritarian pipe dreams
