     @thegreatape Asexual is Not a commonly accepted thing. people say it is, but it is not. There is no place for people who are repulsed by sex in society. It is all advertising, it is most popular culture and has been all our lives. everyone I've ever shown any amount of More Than Strictly Platonic interest in has thought they could "Fix Me". Non Traditional Cishet Culture is centered entirely around sex. I'm not saying it shouldnt be, if apparently most of all people ever feel this way, but

     @vriska@lizards.live @thegreatape@hollow.raccoon.quest i figure sex is an expected part of a relationship, and sex can make the person you care about feel better, so deal with sex is sorta my mind set, and sometimes the experience can be unexpectedly enjoyable - but there is a pervasive cultural thing with sex that affects me - even if i rather just be held or hold someone else - I would not feel i was truly in a relationship with them until we had sex.

     @vriska@lizards.live it's a curse to be so horny all the time, I know I'm guilty of being like that. I wish I didn't care about this stuff. I feel like people would be accepting of you regardless, especially since asexual is a commonly accepted thing now. Not saying that exactly defines you but it's something more people are finally accepting of.
