   @vimja yes, during the chip crisis we made trackball2 based on rp2040 instead of atmega.

     @mntmn in the reform repository, there are two sets of folders for the trackball - trackball and trackball2. I assume the one shipped with laptops thus far is the trackball (w/o 2)?
