     @Zergling_man @SamBox9029 It's still gimped compared to b1.7.3 or even continent-type worldgen of b1.8-1.6. But they raised the world height limit in 1.16, I think.

     @SamBox9029 @Zergling_man that's because all big servers or any server run by competent admins breaks the reporting feature with server-side mods.
     Only realms and small private servers are unsafe nowadays

     @SamBox9029 Also that, but I never cared for the idea of it having a goal in the first place. Building a base, farming and dungeon diving was all I ever bothered to do.
     I am more referring to the fact that it is java, and Microsoft, neither of which are generally conducive to software actually working.

     @Zergling_man Understandable. I hate that Notch sold MC to Mojang.
     
     Also modern Java Minecraft requires mods to run well too because by default its performance in awful
     
     Another bullshit thing is Mojang added player reporting to Java too so now Java players can get their accounts banned but I have yet to see or hear of anyone actually being banned on Java.

     @Zergling_man Yeah I tend to never finish the worlds I start.
     Part of that is due to me having End Remastered that makes getting to the End require me to go to almost every structure in the world but also I just get bored after building whatever base I build.

     @Zergling_man Kinda, 1.18 did bring larger caves and mountains but nothing beats Terralith and Tectonics sprawling mountain ranges and biomes. The cave designs are nicer too.

     I'm using Terralith and Tectonic mods with the Terratonic datapack to make them compatible with each other.
