@Waldbrand I appreciate most life. I like ants and spiders (I know they're not technically insects but whatever) and bees. Woodlice are kind of cool. Beetles are great too.
Have some blue bees
-
@CatLord Thats adorable, are these the Solitary Ones?
-
@Waldbrand The blue carpenter bee is solitary. Our Australian blue banded bee is also solitary but the females can build nests by each other, so it's like a little bee town (3rd pic). The males also roost together like this
-
@CatLord @Waldbrand do they produce honey? If they do, is it tasty?
-
@MK2boogaloo @CatLord Don't all Bee Species produce ''Honey'' since that's how Larvea gets fed?
-
@Waldbrand @CatLord oh I don't know much about bees and I thought that if they are solitary there might be chance that they produce something different.
-
@Waldbrand @MK2boogaloo @CatLord Unfortunately, there are species of bees that are plunderers, brood or colony parasites.
-
@Lavaearth @MK2boogaloo @CatLord Interesting.
-
@MK2boogaloo @CatLord I don't either, which I why I put the Question-Mark at the end. I just knew for example that Bumblebees produce Honey but it is so little that we can't use it. So I just assumed that to be the Reason for other Types of Bee aswell.
-
@MK2boogaloo @Waldbrand I think they might but you can't really farm it. We do have some native primitive bees that we farm and you can buy their honey at the shops. Some of the native ones build spiral hives
-
@CatLord @Waldbrand that's cool. I wonder if the taste differs much because of the structure.
Australia has a different set of vegetation I think so it must taste different.
-
@MK2boogaloo @CatLord Honey can be very different based on the main Plant Source of Bees. Its why its warned to consume Honey from Pontus. So-called ''Mad Honey''. The local Flora leads to the Honey being slightly toxic and having Kratom-like Properties.

@CatLord @MK2boogaloo @Waldbrand Wonder how they managed to survive the Abos? I don't think any of our natives can even sting you.
