@jsq Wow! That’s almost exactly what I paid for my entirely silent gorgeous cube-shaped desktop computer with 64GB of RAM two years ago. Running super-solid Fedora Silverblue on it (today’s version as it updates via a git-like system under the hood and updates mostly take seconds although major version updates can take a few minutes) and it screams (the being silent bit notwithstanding). Best computer I’ve owned, and that includes the various Macs I have strewn about.

Call me crazy, but I think *every* MacBook *Pro* should be able to handle all of the new Xcode things.
How does a “Pro” level laptop come with 8GB RAM by default?
