   For years I’ve argued that desktop #Linux really needed some professional marketing to raise awareness. Never could have imagined that in 2024, Microsoft Recall and Apple Intelligence would be the high-profile ad campaigns Linux needed 🤣

     @Linux4Everyone It's not gonna be as drastic as having Linux preinstalled on a system but I've seen A LOT of people online and offline that want to switch.

     What can be said, truly, when the system has failed so much, people will use the hated cumbersome thing (as they see it) to be saved from its tentacles?

     I don't know if I am supposed to be happy or sad. But I guess at some point people have to care about what they use on a daily basis. So I will see the positive side and be happy. :)

     @Linux4Everyone I think one of the key things missing is companies like System76 and Tuxedo starting selling their laptops to physical stores, to improve visibility, or some very aggressive ad campaign to raise awareness. Most people aren't aware that you can buy a computer with Linux pre-installed.

     @mekuso Which is frustrating, considering Dell and Lenovo have been doing it for several years. (Granted, their marketing around those Linux devices is almost non-existent)

     @Linux4Everyone I wonder if there a uptrick like system 76 saw after each time other company shoot them self in the foot. Linux like Valve do nothing but invest more better experience they will come. But I think someone need to start a alcohol Linux drink with each % make it drinkable collectible bottle lol. What distro favor drink taste like? If each distro made one.
