Don't quote zogslop at me IRL, it's worthless noise. Everywhere I go people are trying to play this cultural touchstone game, calling back to shared media experiences in an effort to erect instant social bridges and it's just disgusting to me.
It's mental noise, pollution, if you start to say something and my brain autofills the next 15 seconds of what you're about to say, don't waste our time saying it.

I'm noticing that millennials are getting into a corny phase, and it's not pleasant to see when they're childless. It's a gross combo, where they put this thin veneer of childlike speech and mannerisms over adult concepts and statements.

It's gross having to watch a barren woman fire this nonsense at a room full of adults, her inner quirkchungus just wants to brood with her babies but her "career" filling out spreadsheets in a make-work job are more important, so I get to put on a mouth-only smile and watch her soul slowly wilt before my eyes

"Organic" memes are ones made via socialization, they're the good catchy ones. They expire, though, so you have to have a feel for when the time has passed.
But the whole reason our circle makes internet culture is that we don't have to play these games, work through the media in order to have approved jokes. I had an IRL chat about 'Sneed" once and it's much more well known for being a verb than it was for the kernel of a simpson's joke, it came into its own. Interesting etymology, imagine trying to condense THIS into something that a normie could understand:
