   Anybody use solar panels for really real? I'm curious if there's any truth to the idea that the foldable travel panels with that matte pebbled coating on the front have better/worse transmission than the ones that are glossy/slick

   I'm wanting a bigger one to take on the road, It's nice to blot out the window and get some free power

     A fren was asking about them and it got me in the mood to shop, IDK if it's true that the chinese ones are about half as effective as they say. Promise 60 watts? Got it, you'll be lucky to get 30, probably 20 apparently

     @WashedOutGundamPilot All of the folding ones are somewhat crap, a lot has to do with poor heat dissipation. 20-30W is still pretty useful for some things.

     @WashedOutGundamPilot Well yeah anything that warps or diffracts the light is gonna result in lower energy. I'd be more worried about the wires coming loose from unfolding it too many times.
