   I sometimes think about what would’ve happened if I grabbed an evo but I bet I would have sold it after a short time. Unreliable, expensive to insure, and sitting in it felt like sitting in a high chair. For as sporty as it was, it just felt tall in a way none of the competition did.

     @Zealist @LordMordred It’s some ford SUV, got a little twin turbo V6 in it and it’s admirably fast for what it is.

     I’m just not buying anything since like, 2012 or so. I got too many cars as it is, and I don’t want to give up my older ones for something new and probably less reliable.

     @LordMordred @Zealist What do you even buy that’s attractive now? I can’t think of a single good-looking car on the road. Trucks are a little niche, esp. if you’re around diversity (niggers throw garbage, diapers, in the back when they see a nice one, and they steal your stuff)

     People used to adore hatchbacks and wagons, now because they gave ‘em all a 4-inch lift they act like they’re the worst thing around. It’s close enough, and it’s not like the crossovers are the only body style that looks so ugly, they all do.

     @LordMordred @WashedOutGundamPilot i seriously don't care, when i was needing a car recently the used car market was a shitshow and i haven't heard anything about it getting much better, peoplw anting like 4 and 5k for rusted out pieces of shit, i need a single daily driver before i ever consider getting something just to have

     @Twoinchdestroya @LordMordred @Zealist IDK, I think most have been ugly since the pedestrian crash standards went into effect. The old ones used to be cool, but the last ones I can think of people actually liking are old. Civid EK’s, Mazdaspeed 3’s (gen1), the CTS-V wagon, and maybe the WRX hatch if you’re desperate. Otherwise they’re not really much prettier than a crossover. Everything is lumpy and rounded now, a mishmash of organic shapes and hard-edged creases.

     I seriously look at the state of the industry sometimes in wonderment that nobody is making anything actually worthy of lusting over. At best you have ‘inoffensive’, but not gorgeous

     @Zealist @LordMordred You can’t enjoy sports cars with modern traffic patterns unless you live in the boonies with highways nearby. It’s just gridlock at every hour of the day.

     Even then, you need to be willing to filter to really enjoy a bike. If you wanna do that, get a vollie sticker for the local PD and slap it on the back so they think you’re one of theirs

     @CoQ_10 @LordMordred @Zealist It’s at least more consistent than the rest of them. Still have to add that curve in there though. The hoods have to add that in order to loft niggers up and over the car, basically.

     That’s what’s gay, no matter how good the styling is, the overall car will always have to sport a circular arc in profile, they can’t just make something low slung and sexy, something with angular A pillars like they once did. These ones had a bit of slope back in ‘06 because of CAFE standards, IIRC. Still, that hood is no friend to those in the crosswalk (cool)

Too many shitskins on the road now, the old cars are superior in many ways, but with your skull 5 inches from the side glass and a third of your meat in the crumple zone, you’re ONE inebriated donkey driver away from being T-Boned to death

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @LordMordred the way i tend to look at it si, i won't buy a 4banger no matter what, cuz i hated my first one it took off like a slug, and i'm poor, so i gotta really hunt for a used car in my range, SO finding something like this accadia was pretty awwesome, only downside was it smelled like nigger for the first couple months.

     @Zealist @LordMordred I luck out w/ mine. I usually get them from old people. I think my SUV has like, 50,000 miles on it and it’s 15 yo already. The problem is finding people who take care of their cars adequately

     @Twoinchdestroya @Zealist @LordMordred Never. Too range-limited and jacked into the grid. For now, I foresee myself going on BAT and buying things made from about 2005-2012 most of the time. Modern enough to be crash safe in a diverse environment, with as little navigation/screen crap as I can manage. Lots of those used to be sold with a ‘glovebox’ in the center section, because nobody wanted to pony up $5400 for a ‘tomtom’ GPS.

     If my cars died tomorrow, I’d maybe go for something like a 6-speed TSX/TL, just for simplicity’s sake. I used to want more speed but I can rarely wring out the performance of what I have now, added turbo complexity just gets wasted today. Truck wise, lean towards toyota just for resale, because I’d be expecting to swap it in the near future if I don’t like the bed. I’ve come to hate both longs and shorts, so I’ll plan for the sale before the buy
