     @nixCraft To be honest Linus is a jerk and the Kernel community is toxic and he likely contributed a lot to this. I value his contributions though but that is it.

     I am still a fan of Linux, open source and various other things. So yeah, being fan of celebs is wrong.

     Oh and I was a die hard fan of SpaceX and to some extent, of Elon Musk. Yes of this 5 year old fascist and idiot.

     Now I don't admire *anyone*. Only some ideas but not people.

     @nixCraft I don't take such a static view of intelligence as most westerners seem to. Are they certain it isn't the other way around? As in celebrity worship isn't causing intelligence to be lower?
