@noah What type of String instrument should I get or build? I like one one the high scale to be above Miku's vocals and not annoy neighbors (I treated my room for mid and high frequencies). I don't like plucking or using hands, so I thought something like Taishogoto or Zither or a bowed instrument that's easy to play, not a violin. Also lost as what amp to pair it, I was thinking a head amp. The DI box has a 600 ohm transformer. I like something a bit different to normal stuff.
@noah when some comes up to me and questions what I have for a instrument I don't want them to go, "oh, we already have a bass player" or insert whatever.
Hey there, long time no see bro.
First, you don't buy head amp....it is noisy and amp is not good for neighbors. if your house is cancel noise house it is not problem..but if you are normal house...you should play the instrument in your garage( I guess it is common way is in America.)
I guess you should buy Taishogoto because Taishogoto is easy than normal string instruments.
But I guess Taishogo is a little bit noisy even without amp....then it is a bit hard problem.
Erm I recommend to use guitar head amp then you can play without Amp then you can play the Taishogoto with your head phones。
And you should look up "VOX amPlug G2 AC30 Headphone Guitar Amp" in your browser. or watch the review video.
problem of sound is very complex, watch out to shooting from your neighbors.
At worth case, you should switch to midi keyboard....piano is not must play double hand instrument, you can play only melody even one hand....but if you want to play a lot of instruments...you have to pay a lot of money (maybe $300 or more)
@noah Thank you. Head amp doesn't produce noise by itself. You need a cab (speakers), hooking it up to the DI thru input with instrument just patches sound to the audio interface, I have monitor headphones and speakers on that with volume control and input/playback mixer knob. I have a Rockwell RDI5. I'm also on a budget so most instruments are too expensive. I consider doing something like this with tree I find. https://www.instructables.com/How-to-Make-a-Dulcimer-Without-Power-Tools/ to give it my own flavor soundholes. またね
