   @artandtechnic I've worked for Google, and I'd agree, except for the implication that they do any short term planning either.

     It’s too bad that no one over at Google does any long term strategic thinking.

     I mean, when your corporate strategy encompasses stealing from everyone on the web, to redirecting search traffic away from paying clients to Google themselves, using that very same stolen content… you’re definitely gonna need a long term strategy, and sooner than you realize.
