   UNIX was created back in the day when we couldn't afford vowels, and many consonants. So common commands had to be shortened a little bit:
   "Copy" becomes "cp"
   "List" becomes "ls"
   "Rename" becomes "mv" and so on.

   But fear not. Soon systemd will restore the balance with long command names again. This is 2024 and 70's okay?

     @nixCraft I was told that {Brian|Dennis} was asked in an interview if he would change anything on the UNIX design. He thought a moment and replied, "I would spell 'creat' with an 'e'". Source: unknown.

     Seriously though does anyone actually type git push --set-upstream origin/*?

     Are there monsters that see it and copy paste it every time? (middle mouse clicks count but better)
