   The virus won't fully crossover.
   
   there will be a couple of dumbasses drinking raw milk and a few farmers who get sick and die
   
   but otherwise the virus fails to catch on in humanity beyond maybe a dozen human-to-human cases - no or limited to human-to-human-to-human

   it's a real disease but won't go pandemic

     @jeffcliff @xianc78 If the US does get some kind of outbreak it will be interesting to see what the death toll looks like under a competent health system. Ebola was considered almost certain death until there were cases in the US and most people recovered.

     @Herman_Hetherington @xianc78 @jeffcliff It'll start from the border. An illegal will bring it in, similar to how AIDS was brought in from Africa. Which will make its spread politically charged, obv not helping matters. So I can see it doing some damage.
