@TonyTheTiger @ApocalyptoLatte1488 Every time I've had some sort of ailment either physical or psychological, and the medical system refused to help me because I didn't have money, status, or insurance.
I had no choice but to seek an alternative.
When my arms tore, they could've given me surgery to fix them faster. They refused, because I wasn't a football player or an athlete in a "professional" level. So I had to spend years working to rehabilitate and heal them on my own.
When my issues with depression and anxiety got worse, it was either I go back to pills or try out natural supplements to alleviate the problem. Last time I was on pills, I was a kid. And doctors used my as a guinea pig to test out all the new designer drugs. So I went the natural route, and sought counseling from an independent organization.
When my teeth started closing in on themselves, I had no insurance to pay for braces. So instead I popped 17 dollars online, and got a jaw exercise kit. Now they're straighter than ever before.
Doctors can bitch, moan, and sue alternative health practitioners all they want. But they're the ones who made their own systems impossible to navigate in, through, and out of. So of course the natural health gurus will pick up the fucking slack.

Mewing?

@TonyTheTiger @ApocalyptoLatte1488 Jaw exercises, essentially. Take these silicone blocks and stuff them between your teeth and chew, working the masseter muscle which in turn helps to better shape the chin and face.
The theory is essentially "muh anceestors diet" was better for our dental health, based on the fossil records we've found and the comparison between them before and after humans developed agriculture.
There's a lot of holes you can poke into the hypothesis, but I'm so desperate to alleviate my dental issues, that I decided to try it out to see if I can buy time until I get the insurance needed to see a dentist.

I get that, i dealt with chronic pain most of my life and at a point you're willing to try anything

Sucking dick is good jaw workout tbh

@TonyTheTiger @ApocalyptoLatte1488 Mewing is better. I've been doing that lately, and my teeth have actually realigned significantly since I started. I'm hoping it helps to alleviate my sinus troubles, but I'm still going at it.
