   Hmm based on edge and posible also google since edge is based on chromium I'm now starting to see warnings when downloading from the official @libreoffice website about it being potential harmfull. Starting to wondere if they have had a server breach they havn't disclosed or at least I havnt seen or if its just that companies hates them

   Guess we will never know

     @tanja84dk Yes, it seems to be a standard warning in Chrome when downloading any .msi or .exe file from the internet.

     And it happens wether I'm downloading the stable or the latest release from the site. Actually think its everything

     @libreoffice Its only a standard warning if the Safe Browsing is turned off, and then It would also say that the blocking were because ot couldnt check the file

     I do though have a small side question how come is it when a user on purpose chooses stable version it then all the time trries to upgrade to what I may presume is unstable? like there were a reason I wanted the stable even that it doesnt have all the new features

     @tanja84dk Hi! Regarding your second question – not sure what you mean. LibreOffice never prompts you to update to an unstable version. We currently maintain two stable branches, LibreOffice 24.2 and LibreOffice 7.6. The latter is coming to end-of-life soon, so we're encouraging users to move to the newer stable branch. But both are stable (they only receive bug and security fixes – no new features in the middle of a branch).

     @libreoffice But that is not at all the what your own website says at all and also does not mention anything about it being soon end-of-life.

     It literally is describing LibreOffice 24 as for "technology enthusiast, early adopter" wich actually implyes that it changes all times and is a testing branch and describing version 7 as "This version is slightly older and does not have the latest features, but it has been tested for longer." so in essense the same as saying stable.

     @libreoffice and since it does not mention anything at all about soon end-of-life and the release were so new as from Fri, 10 May 2024 10:16:07 GMT that was why I wanted the more well tested version and not at all any early adapter release since that imply testing/unstable

     @tanja84dk Hi! We wouldn't offer anything unstable on our main download page. We understand that "early adopter" may be confusing though, so we'll work on changing the text. Both branches are stable and tested (every major release goes through several alpha, beta and release candidate steps), but of course LibreOffice 7.6 has been available for longer. Let's ask our marketing community how we can improve the wording on the page! Thanks 😊
