@Xenophon Yeah I should've blocked that one and not muted it, but I default to mutes by habit. I don't wanna act like someone will *never* have something of value to say...but ex-gab people really do seem to be testing that.
I mean for fuck's sake, *lemmy* was better than these guys. They're a bunch of retards who get excited over tying their shoes in a new way, but they still on occasion manage to scrounge up something of actual value. The only thing Gablins do is post lukewarm hollywood-brained takes with the word "nigger" slapped on top, then scream when you suggest doing things that are actually likely to work...or scream at anime tits. Or scream when you mildly disagree with them. Or scream when you call them a faggot.

we have domain mute. for 2 years i didn't really block or mute anyone. just for a few days at most. now I can't take it anymore. I looked at my block list the other day because i thought i might want to clear it again and i couldn't come up with a reason to unblock anyone.

Muting domains is how TWKN is usable for me, I don't know how you can tolerate fedi without domain mutes.

@Xenophon I wish that they'd set up their own instance so that we can just wall them off wholesale. They clearly *want* to set up their own little ghetto, but they also want to do so in a way that makes it clear that they're actively trying to take over the whole place and flood everything with their retarded hollywood-approved takes.

I get that, and I guess we all use different patterns for relationship bias. Mine are, the person must value the truth, or value my friendship. And, it did hurt my feelings when owl blocked me.
The new people, well they are very unhinged, they don't care about truth, or a relationship with me, so onto the mute list they go, by the bucket I silence the frogs.

there are a LOT of people here who disagree with me on many subjects, you include. I don't block or mute those people. I've gotten along just fine pissing people off for the past few years. Even owl blocked me and I gave him shit behind the block, but i didn't resent him for it.
There's something different about these new people. It is definitely more subversive. Not all of them. I like some of them, and i have some mutuals from the new wave and they fit in, but there are a lot who just don't get it. this place is about cultivating relationships imo.

Honestly just domain muting people who defederate from you is enough to make TWKN usable.

It feels like everyone is screwed up these days. So, correct ideology, or w/e, just isn't one of my criteria for who can be a friend.
I am very, aggressive about what I believe, and what is true. And, if someone can respect that, then that means a lot.
I've often thought that a lot of people on here are closer to knowing Jesus, than many who claim to be Christians.
So, owl seemed to value my friendship, and then they threw it away one day. But, that is a reflection of them, and their unworthiness, and not on me.

I honestly have never known what owl was. And, I never saw the threads where, what ever happened happened.
