   @NonPlayableClown @DutchBoomerMan @SarahGation This is accurate. As noted in the blog post about it, after the other box shat itself, I eventually replaced it with an ARM cluster shoved into a 2U box. All the data's been recovered and the disks have been shredded, flushed, re-shredded, etc.
   
   I don't know what to do with the old box. Feels like a waste to ditch it, but it's flaky, and wants 3 amps. I might raid it for parts, like it's got that 4-port GbE PCIe card, the RAID card, etc. The disks all still work, but they're SAS so they'd actually need that RAID card (or similar). The box is basically eating up half a coffee table at this point, sitting in limbo.
   
   I don't know what DutchBoomerMan is on about.

     PSU failure at an inconvenient time, he covered it, I sent him some BTC, and I decommissioned that server a few months after those PSUs were replaced anyway.

     Oh, yeah? I mean, it has its CPUs (4x E5‐4600) and I have a few spare G6s (L5630, maybe half a dozen CPUs that are not in use). I don't really have a use for them, those are basically for scavenging fans and other frequently failed bits from the G6 that is in use, and since CPU is a pretty rare component to fail, all of the spare G6s still have their CPUs.
