   I don't love that the "1.44" in "1.44 MB" floppy isn't actually either "Megabyte" or "Mebibyte", but rather it's 1.44 "thousand Kibibytes".

     @cr1901 floppy disks should have been labeled as 2880 sectors.

     (they'd also need to specify 512 byte sectors of course, since disks have been sold preformatted with other sector sizes)
