   Making the switch to mpv last night fixed the broken text issue ("CO2" was broken for me) i had in the revised english subs for Godzilla Minus One. I guess im deleting vlc and mpc permanently now.

     you can just open your config file and add in “screenshot-dir=<your new screenshot path here>“

     Now to figure out how to change the screenshot directory from the desktop to a folder.

     @Dude here if you want a lua script to create screenshots with title + timestamp in specific directory. add "s script_message my-screenshot" to your input.conf

     you can also set that in the config file, using “screenshot-template“

     for instance mine has:

     screenshot-template="mpv_%tY%tM%td_%tH%tM%tS_%#02n

     
     then it generates a screenshot named “mpv_20244124_012520_01.jpg“

     @lapin @Dude you are right. i forgot what the script even all does because i made it ages ago. it also removes [sub group] or [1080] from the file name lol

     well yeah, but there’s a solution to that. just use “%p“ in the template

     %p

     Current playback time, in the same format as used in the OSD. The result is a string of the form “HH:MM:SS”. For example, if the video is at the time position 5 minutes and 34 seconds, %p will be replaced with “00:05:34”.
