using lua script just to change screenshot directory is overkill lol
@Dude
you can just open your config file and add in “screenshot-dir=<your new screenshot path here>“ -

DarkMahesvara (darkmahesvara@varishangout.net)'s status on Friday, 24-May-2024 06:37:38 JST DarkMahesvara @Dude here if you want a lua script to create screenshots with title + timestamp in specific directory. add "s script_message my-screenshot" to your input.conf -
DarkMahesvara (darkmahesvara@varishangout.net)'s status on Friday, 24-May-2024 06:43:37 JST DarkMahesvara @lapin @Dude yes but it isn't just that. its creating the screenshot with the filename + current time stamp -
Lapin (lapin@varishangout.net)'s status on Friday, 24-May-2024 06:43:37 JST Lapin @DarkMahesvara @Dude
you can also set that in the config file, using “screenshot-template“for instance mine has:
screenshot-template="mpv_%tY%tM%td_%tH%tM%tS_%#02n
then it generates a screenshot named “mpv_20244124_012520_01.jpg“ -
DarkMahesvara (darkmahesvara@varishangout.net)'s status on Friday, 24-May-2024 06:48:00 JST DarkMahesvara @lapin @Dude you are right. i forgot what the script even all does because i made it ages ago. it also removes [sub group] or [1080] from the file name lol Lapin likes this. -
DarkMahesvara (darkmahesvara@varishangout.net)'s status on Friday, 24-May-2024 06:50:16 JST DarkMahesvara @lapin @Dude also isn't that time stamp the current time and not the current video playback time? -
Lapin (lapin@varishangout.net)'s status on Friday, 24-May-2024 06:50:16 JST Lapin @DarkMahesvara @Dude
well yeah, but there’s a solution to that. just use “%p“ in the templateCurrent playback time, in the same format as used in the OSD. The result is a string of the form “HH:MM:SS”. For example, if the video is at the time position 5 minutes and 34 seconds, %p will be replaced with “00:05:34”.
