     @rlier23 It's gay. Someone tried convincing me to Baki a try as a "methodical, technical show about martial arts" but it comes off as just over the top homo.

     Smells like it's not made for guys, it's nothing but exaggerated muscle freaks fighting in bathhouses and thinking about their relationships between punches.

     Baki was designed for fujoshis, if I were to guess from seeing all of 10 minutes. The way the guys interact, the brutality, all have that kind of behavior that women love in their fetish fiction

     (Further proof: Name the hot eye candy women from 'Baki'. Surely there's a bunch of them if it's such a testosterone laden show, hmmm?)

     @berkberkman @rlier23 Old 50's rio seems up my alley. That's part of what I hate so much about it down there. You see these artefacts from the colonial era - a train station, a few columns on a courthouse, and you remember there was a time the land had people competent enough to make the most of its resources

     The waste is one of its most disgusting parts. You hike out into the bush and see nothing but fertile lands as far as the eye can see, never claimed, never farmed. You see a road system begging for a rally series, never touched. You see easy greenwashing money when they cart loads of mangos to sit rotting in the streets (fermentation, collection, could get you some VC money if you play it right selling carbon credits)

     But they don't do any of that. It feels like you're post-colapse, because they all obsess over the first world, watch its media, and pat ass over picking up the cheesy tvs and phones we have up north. It's depressing to see, because you want to see nice folks succeed and thrive with all those resources, but they just don't wanna. I guess that's what I really hate about it. Reminds me of my nightclub job, people who could do better, who WON'T, because they think they're doing amazing already

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @rlier23 Too many people chose to eternally suffer in filth. Not enough are willing to replicate what made the land lovely in the first place. Worst of all, it's not just in Rio, but nearly every brownoid country.
     
     There is some hope for those that are willing to preserve and replicate those good old days before it all declined. This channel has a whole lot of these kinds of tunes, by the way.
