   I'm curious about this piece: It's largely crap, right? It was made with ivory because it was around, and that's why it's expensive today? Its value lay in the materials, not the fact it looks like a century old hitachi prototype

     Second one neither, it's a little unfortunate because the guy is working in bone to scratch this out, but if you know faces aren't your forte why do them at all? Very old fashioned approach thinking he has to go for the cowboy shot
