@PapaPole @sjw i am not endorsing it just saying you could do that. however i will say that a lot of bands consider success to mean fans across a broad range of demographics including income and so they wish to keep their ticket prices affordable so that the majority of their fans can get them.

@Moon @sjw wouldnt the existence of scalpers imply that the tickets were undervalued? if people are willing to pay more than you are charging you should up the price.

@Moon @PapaPole @sjw the topic of 'scalpers' is really interesting, because as papapole said, how can scalpers even make any money if the tickets aren't generally sold under market price? But as you say, generally bands have found some solutions to get the preferred fan distribution (fanclub-only tickets and concerts, for example).

@lain @PapaPole @sjw i think this is a better solution than passing anti scalping laws. also because it gets tickets to people by a better criteria than ability to camp on a ticketing website and spam the payment button as fast ass you can before the (reasonably priced!) tickets are all sold in two seconds
