     @feld a lot of entertainment is made by a super cynical and methodical process that is pretty detached from creativity for the sake of artistic expression and is not that different from a story that an AI will shit out.

     @Moon @feld saw some drama today about scifi mags being overwhelmed with chat gpt generated stories (which i find hard to believe, given the kind of children's book stories it writes). scifi has always had notoriously bad quality, maybe that's why they worried. I've never seen anyone worry about AI writing the next "Grapes of Wrath".
