   I recently bought a portable Chinese thermal printer to keep with my radio gear. I don’t think the paper will tolerate lamination, though.

   It charges via USB(-c) and works over Bluetooth with a mobile app, though it also works with a cable (I think, haven’t tested).

   Like most printers / scanners, there are operational security concerns to be aware of: the printer probably stores a copy of everything it prints on a flash chip inside the printer. So be mindful of that.

     @Richard No inputs to the device other than paper rolls and a battery charge. No ink. Toner based printers still require toner, but AFAIK they need a lot more power. I know when I turn on my Brother laser printer, the inrush current is pretty high.
