   I worked a job w/ a kindly old butch lesbian a while back and she tore into one of the "non binary" zooomer girls about this. We were joking around about her biker gf riding in the pride parade (old butch hates them)

   "uh comments like that are why we need all those pride parades you know, we basically need MORE pride months until people like you stop making comments like that!"

   that really pissed off granma lezzie, she's been hanging with the boys for years, so having some "gay" punk come in and start blowing up her spot just sent her into a fury

   "you know we had a good thing going? People were cool with us, we could live how we wanted, we were normal, and friendly, and then you fucking queens had to go screw each other's butts on top of parade floats and make us all look like a bunch of goddamned perverts! You set our entire community back fifty years, you make us all look like an absolute joke, a freak show!"

   It was interesting to see, she saw how they had everything they wanted (acceptance, judgement for anyone even slightly unhappy with their way of life) but it was thrown away because they got too greedy, they're too addicted to scandal

     Then a (((judge))) just threw the initiative out and legalized it in California based on literally nothing.

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @ArdainianRight Anybody older than a Zoomer and with an actual functioning memory knows that fags are a hell of a lot more accepted in 2024 than they were in 2004, when they were pretty much on the best behavior due to the big battle over gay marriage - by any reasonable metric, they're FAR more openly degenerate and evil now than they were then.
     
     Funny thing is, my 2004 self had about the same take on gay marriage as this pagan piece of shit - but I saw events prove me catastrophically wrong and adjusted my beliefs accordingly.

     Even most right-wingers who always opposed gay marriage dramatically underestimated how socially corrosive it'd be. Objectively gay marriage caused society to decay even faster than abortion-on-demand, despite the latter being far more objectionable based on the traditional rights-based morality we grew up with. If you aren't re-evaluating your priors at all based on that, you're not paying enough attention.

     In 2004 exposure to gays was just more filtered. Maybe AIDS killing off the worst slowed them down a bit, but they were always mentally unstable sexual deviants.
