I think they made the Alien survival horror game but that's not really my cup of tea, but it looks good. I'm fine with them sticking with and perfecting Total War though...as long as they actually make it better. I'm fine with them being a one-trick pony as long as they actually get better at the trick.
@wildgoose@Tactical@SuperSnekFriend I have it on Xbox or something and need to play it but I heard it was very different from most horror games because instead of shooting zombies it's literally the movie alien instead of being like every other game based on the later space marine films.
Moreso with the short dlc levels that are basically the movie but playable.
@wildgoose@Tactical They need to do that before they make any new historical TW game. Also, has CA tried to do anything besides Total War, or are they forever relegated to being a one-trick pony?
Yea and graphics are great and all, but they need to sink more resources into the actual AI. The AI is what really sells the "realism" of a war game for me.
Shogun 2 still holds up solid. I hope CA/Sega puts out another traditional war game instead of the Chinese Dynasty Warriors/Warhammer stuff they've been bogged down with in recent years. People are begging for an Empire sequel/remaster and I'm all about that. Would rather just have a sequel than a remaster though.
I kinda wish there was a Total War-style ww2 game but I don't think the ground battles of ww2 are really suited to that sort of gameplay. It definitely works for ww1 though. The demo for this was a lot of fun. https://youtu.be/vH5g6HcSScU
