So many people are lazy and they rather read or listen to another man's opinion about Biblical subjects than actually just read the Bible. Also the Bible doesn't make sense to the unsaved so there's that. -

Personally I never just read it from cover to cover, but in chunks here and there randomly over the years I have atleast read the entire Old Testment up to Exodus several times, after Exodus to the end of minor prophets once, and the new testament at least 3-4 times.
